Broken leg turns to a weird color when I stand up?

After the cast is removed the leg wants to get back to its normal girth. The first thing that happens is the leg swells up as you start moving the foot and ankle. The muscles start to build up gradually and the circulation tries to get back into shape doing what its suppose to do by returning the venous flow. Since the muscles are weak they can't pump up the venous circulation as well as your other leg. The muscles act as a pump to return the circulation back to your heart. In the meantime you should get an elastic stocking to help keep the swelling down to a minimum. Also you should keep it elevated periodically above your heart to help the muscles empty out the excess fluid in your legs. "toes higher than your nose". Your doctor is correct it will get better and by walking on it you also stimulate the muscles to start working again. Just go slow and use your crutches if it hurts too much.

You should comment more. Just as an fyi. This code is pretty obvious, but it can be difficult to read, especially when your brackets are not lined up. For example, it is almost impossible to see where that while() loop ends. You might want to put inline comments before large blocks of code like that.

I was fired because I didn't remember the date of a speeding ticket I got in my personal vehicle on my on time?

I hold a CDL and drove for my employer. They gave all the drivers a driver safety course taught by an outside instructor. At the end of the driving cl the instructor ped out a PENN DOT form. He asked us to list any driving Violation from the past 12 months, sign the form and p them back to him. I listed my most recent ticket, signed the paper and ped it back to the guy. A week later my boss calls me in the office, shows me the form I filled out, and a copy of my driving record. They told me that I had a speeding ticket, on my own time and in my own car by the way, from 10 months ago that I did not list on the form That I had signed it and certified the info was correct. I told him it was an honest mistake that I just didn't remember the date of that speeding ticket. I thought it was over 12 months ago. So they fired me for dishonesty and their conduct policy for not listing the speeding ticket. How can I be expected to remember the exact date of a ticket from almost a year ago. Plus the guy had my driving record already so why am i being asked to write it down in the middle of a driving cl. Is this a wrong full termination? I had no time to call PENN DOT so I could get the correct info. The instructor gave us only 2-3 minutes to fill it out. Not to mention they already had my driving record.

hello. liquified petroleum gas (lpg) is a form of fuel. Its usage is described by the vehicle it is put into, the same way diesel fuel will not work for a gasoline engine. (I made the mistake of 'trying' that once, it did not work). As a fuel, the 'need' will rise to use its usage....I am disabled, and often ride in a cab, and see that each cab will use its 'new' fuel. Be that electric, lpg, diesel, gasoline. I observe when the cab driver needs to fuel himself up. Now, Gasoline is still the most available fuel.

i think most metal bands are doomed just for being metal. dont get me wrong, i have nothing against metal, i dont personally enjoy it, but i have nothing against it. it just seems to me that the majority of the population likes stuff besides metal, so to become a successful metal band you have to be really good, and even when you are, you won't ever be as famous or popular as other genres of music, just because of the type of music you play. which is really tragic because most metal bands are really talented, just not my type of music.

Is it normal for my boyfriend to be scared around our son?

Our son Jayden is only a week and a few days old, and my boyfriend doesn't seem so at ease with him yet. What is wrong with me and my body?

Well before i tell you my problem i would like to tell you some facts that might help you find my answer. My name is Carl and i am 13 years old. I weight 170 pounds. I am 5"10 <<(Height.) Well about a month ago i got a physical. The doctor said i was overweight and was amazed on how strong i was for a 13 year old kid. I am currently working out twice a week at the gym, i have lacrosse games and practices. So the doctor then recommended some ""KID FIT"" program to help me lose weight and eat the right way. Now let me tell you another thing about myself, i don't eat junkfood or mive ammounts of bad food.All i eat is the right porportion and organic food. Back to the kid fit thing. Every 3 months i go in, they take my weight,my height and check up on my body. So when i was there they took a BMI (aka body m index) on me. They found out that i need to eat more ""Fatty"" foods. As i know you are saying ""WHAT??"" i feel the same way. The doctor at kid fit was "amused" on how strong and active i was and questined why i was even here. He also said i looked nothing alike to any of the other kids who do need this program. Now i don't really enjoy being "strong" as much as you may think. I was overweight to play football for 3 years so i just went to all of the practices for training. Now a couple weeks later my mom has planned out more kid fit programs for me to go to. Now i'm thinking "What the hell! the doctor said their is nothing wrong with me and i need to eat more fatty foods." But that wasn't enough for my mom (the overachiever she is :). Now she wants me to lose like 35 pounds of fat. But when i got like BMI on some 20K dollar machine it said i had to get more fatt in my body. So that means losing my mustle. <

Does Magnesium absorb other vitamins?

I'm pregnant and taking Magnesium in addition to other vitamins and wonder if it absorbs my other vitamins thereby reducing nutrition? Should I switch to B guitar?

Well in my family, both of my sisters are amazing singers. One is 10 years old and the other is 15 and they are great! But me..... not really, at least i don't think. Being put down by a mean older sister that said i was a horrible singer a lot as a child, lead to me believing i was unable to sing and sound good. So i stopped, never sang in front of people ever again in my life, and honestly, i really love to sing. Anyway, giving up singing i moved to guitar. I got my first acoustic guitar about 7 years ago at 7 years old. It came with a DVD on how to play it. I would practice at least an hour a week and more as i got older and i took lessons in 4th and 5th grade and didn't make any progress. I'd look up songs to play on the internet and try... and fail then give up. And try again a few days later. Well that was YEARS ago and i still can't get through the Peavey beginner guitar DVD. My fingers are very calloused that's not the problem, i cant adjust all my fingers on the right strings quickly all at the same time even after hours of repetition and practice. I tried piano during that time and im OK..ish. But i don't think its for me. I also played clarinet in 6th grade for band cl and i did good on that but that's a marching band instrument that i don't enjoy. After all that, i need to play something because it feels so awkward being in a very musically inclined family and I can't really play any of the instruments i've tried. I want to be in a band someday so i think that b guitar might be the instrument for me. And don't say music just isn't my thing because i listen to it ALL THE TIME and thinking about my situation makes me want to cry. When family visits, they always listen to my sisters sing and my mom play piano or flute and my brother play saxophone or piano and my dad play drums and they ask "what do you play, Mandy?" and i get to be super embarred and say "nothing". :'( I've beem wasting my time with 7 years of guitar and no progress and i've accepted the fact that i can't play accoustic so i'm gonna move on. Would b guitar be easier for me? Should i switch or stay with accoustic guitar? Should I forget b and choose a different instrument? Please help me! Out of these exercise machines (links included) which would give me a better overall workout?

i own a manual treadmill and a still walker and found that i lost more fat with the still walker. i was doing 30 mins on the treadmill 3-4 times a week until i got the still walker. then i ditched the treadmill and started doing 20 mins everyday whilst watching tv while dinner cooked and i lost so much more with the still walker. i found the still walker easier on my joints and feet. the treadmill would make my feet ache but seen as there was no impact with the ground on the still walker that wasnt a problem.

Furthermore, it should be only applied to cases of extreme violence or barabarous in nature, (e.g. and murder of a child), but not for crimes such as treason. This would prevent a government from producing false charges and evidence, merely to get rid of opposition. Finally, I believe that there could be some sort of final tribunal, whereby the perpetrator has already been found guilty and if the crime is deserving of execution. If they aren't, then they can receive life imprisonment instead.

My best friend and i have been bfs for more then a year. We talk everyday about anything and with our problems about relationships and such. I have never really seen him as being more than a friend since very recently. We are both 19. Exactly a week ago today I found a bullseye tick bite, we went to the doctor and she prescribed me doxycycl, it's an antibiotic. I felt fine. We went to the beach even though the medication says to stay away from the sun for a prolonged period of time. But I was careful. I stayed under an umbrella and lathered up on sunscreen but then while at the beach, and continuing for the next 3 days I've developed this sharp burning and tingling, but more so burning, sensation in my hands. I have to sleep with ice and constantly run it under water. I don't know if it's the medicine, or the start of Lyme disease? Please please help. Thank you.

So I have Windows 7 RC as my OS, and when I boot up Empire Total War, it starts fine, I start a campaign, it loads, and then it freaks out, gets all twitchy, switches between the load screen and the game, colors get distorted, and it just looks really weird. So im outside of my house and i hear this crazy sound. I look ver and see something fall from a tree. Could my friend have Bipolar Disorder? He sees things and has weird mood swings!?

He says that he sees shadowy figures standing around that resemble real people. However, once he gets the chance to notice them, they disappear. It sounds very scary. He also has weird mood swings. One moment he is happy, then the nex he is angry or sad. Just today, he said that he almost fainted when he said that he was welcomed by a formidable shadow person when he opened a cubboard door, but it then faded away. He got freaked out and then ran down the staircase, just to find a shadowy hand reaching out of a nearby door, and then disappearing. I think that he is going crazy, and may have Bipolar Disorder. If he does have it, it would add another disorder to his list. He already has a serious case of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Can anybody help him?

A serious situation regarding employees forgery?

I just found out from my notary that an employee of mine forged her name and seal for a doent I had asked the employee to get notarized while I was out of town. Now I had to withdraw my bid but I am hugely concerned because she had used a doent I had mistakenly signed and discarded. I am overwhelmingly concerned with what will happen to me. I have already terminated the employee responsible as well as the manager that was supposed to check the bid for completion before sealing. I grew up in a family where myself and my siblings were well off and had everything we needed. It was because my parents went to college and worked hard to make the kind of money they do now. I never bragged to my friends about all the things I had or the big house I lived in. I didn't want to make them feel like I thought I was superior over them, because I wasn't. But unfortunately, those who have more than others are often times the object of scorn or jealousy. There's nothing you can do to change how those people feel. The best you can do is to make sure you're not intentionally trying to make people feel jealous of you and ignore the mean comments others might say to you.

I am 30 years old and I have a strong family history of diabetes in maternal and paternal sides. when parents now have technology like the V - chip that can block any channel they don't want there kids to see? I think if we did, some channels would keep out the obscenities to try to keep a family audience, but then other channels would be free to air whatever as long as it isn't breaking any other laws. Shows already have had ratings guidelines (TV- G, TV- MA ect) for awhile now, so I really don't think anyone should have a problem if their kid sees something inappropriate it is your own fault as the parent for letting them watch. Question about the "third eye"?

I just have a simple curiosity. I am not chalking anything up to be "spiritual" I simply have a query about something I have had my entire life. My whole life whenever I put an object such as my finger, a pencil or pen, or simply the thought of something hovering between my eyes at the bridge of my nose I guess this strong tingling, localized pressure feeling in that area, where the third eye is stereotypically located. Again I have never experienced any psychic abilities or seen any ghosts or any experiences of that nature. Point being though I thought this was normal for people to feel such a thing like the body simply reacting to something being close to itself, especially close enough to pierce that area. That was until I learned about chakras and the third eye and such phenomenon of that nature. It was at that point that I began asking people if they experience such a thing, at that point many of my friends would point their finger in that area to no avail and not experience any sensation telling me they never have. It was at this point I realized that this sensation I have always felt was not exactly commonplace. At times i had even used this sensation to rid myself of headaches the tingling sensation would spread my entire "crown" chakra area and seemingly alleviate my headache although to be honest that could have been placebo effect. But to get to the point of my question what does this mean does anyone else experience this sensation? Is there a perfectly medically relevant explanation for this or am I to believe that I have dormant psychic capabilities (believe me I know the latter sounds kind of silly especially since i have never experienced anything of the nature) please any insight would be appreciated.

Sodium is a shiny silver coloured metal at room temp. As is Zinc. If there were both placed in front of you, unlabelled, how would you be able to tell the difference? I know that sodium is an alkali metal, meaning it is highly reactive and Zinc is a transition metal meaning it is less reactive but I am not sure how to tell the difference.

Help with Reformatting!?

I have a windows 98 that I just bought. It is a computer I plan on using to Just play with. I have tried many things and failed miserably on the OS. I am trying to install windows XP. I have a disk and the key and everything! When I boot it up, I have tried to boot from CD but it never does. Then when It is up and I go to computer and the cd drive, it says there was no CD found in drive. I then tried through command prompt or in this case MS-DOS. Still doesn't find anything in the CD drive. I have no idea what to do! Can anyone help me and please any information is needed.

At any of these times that you touched her was she really stiff? Is her body cool? Signs of death are stiffness and loss of body temp.... but stiffness will go away after 12hrs or so. If she's still soft and warm she may be hibernating but otherwise she's probably not alive. I think if you've done all that to her and she never even budged she's probably not alive, sorry =(

Car stalls at idle...please help...?

I have asked on here before with much help which i thank you for, but i have not yet solved my problem. i have a 2000 ford taurus with the 24 valve duratec engine and only when i am idling my car idles hard and rough like its choking and then stalls out. My car actually bucks a tiny bit too while its happening. Ive narrowed it down to 2 possibilities...The IAC motor or the PCV valve and or hose. For more info, follow the link to see the engine. Pay special attention to the hose, it feels and looks broken down.
