I just found a baby roach in my bathroom...eek!?

Does that mean that the baby hatched in my bathroom? Or could a baby roach have traveled far away from it's hatching point? I do know (unfortunately) that my upstairs neighbors have German roaches! I am a super neat freak and put boric acid all over my apt, but I just found this little guy today and I'm freaking out! How do I look for evidence of an investation or maybe an egg sack/casing??
