Lump on Golden Retriever ?

I have an 8 eight year old Golden Retriever Female who has developed a firm lump about the size of a 10c piece in the middle of her abdomen under the ribcage (the lump is under the skin). She does not seem to notice it until I feel it and then she wriggles a bit. Any ideas what this could be?
