Help please i have a HUGE fly infestation?

im not sure what kind of fly they are theyre small but mom sayd theyre not fruit flys they swarm in door ways and in the basment and the kitchen i tryd making soda bottle traps and didnt catch even 1 idk what to do we have a newborn and 3 animals so chemicals seem out of the question its gross and unsanitary ps: my house is kind of messy but not like in horders or anything
