I think that you took the high road in this situation and commend you for that. Many people would have bashed the mother right infront of the boys without thinking twice. I always say, lead by example. One day when the boys are older, they will look back in time and thank you for all you have and will do for them. They will hold you in higher regard then their own mother. Just continue to be a positive influence in their life and try to steer them in the right direction. The greatest thing you can give them is your love!
